Hello http://www.cinnamontreeapts.com/ visitors! Thanks for stopping by. Today in our BYU housing blog we want to provide some study tips for all of the hard working students living in Provo off campus housing. Although it goes without saying, any good study plan should start with regular class attendance, organization, and note taking.

While many BYU students find it useful to discover what ‘type’ of learner they are, make sure not to pigeonhole yourself into one set of study techniques. Different subject material may require you to change study tactics.

Don’t rule out old-school study drills such as flashcards, they still help out a lot when Provo BYU students have facts to memorize.

Studying usually is most effective for BYU apartment residents when it is spread out into smaller sessions throughout the day, or when short breaks are taken every 15-20 minutes.

Make sure to take advantage of the various BYU campus resources such as labs, tutors, and teaching assistants.

And don’t forget that it’s important for all students in the Provo area to take care of themselves by eating a healthy, natural diet, getting enough sleep, exercising, and effectively managing stress.

My name is Connie Meyers and I am the manager at Cinnamon Tree Apartments apartments. We provide BYU students with affordable off-campus, BYU approved housing. We are located at 1285 North Freedom blvd in Provo, which is within walking distance to BYU campus.

If you have any questions about our Provo off-campus housing for next semester, give me a call at 801-373-8023, and happy studying!

Welcome to the Cinnamon Tree Apartments blog. This blog is for Cinnamon Tree Apartments residents and BYU students looking for the best off-campus housing in Provo. Today’s article is about the origins of one of the most enduring college sports rivalries in the country, the BYU-Utah rivalry.

Deseret News sports writer Brad Rock explains it this way:

“The earliest sporting event between Utah and BYU was in 1895. A history of BYU’s College of Physical Education indicates that Brigham Young Academy and Utah met for a baseball game. Though details are sketchy, two things about the event were recorded: it ended in a scoreless tie, and there was a bench-clearing brawl.”1

It’s no wonder this match-up has gotten extremely intense, it has been gaining momentum for over 116 years!

Cinnamon Tree Apartments is a great place to start a lifetime of BYU allegiance. While living at Cinnamon Tree Apartments and attending BYU in Provo, you can cheer on the Cougars in football, basketball, baseball, tennis, rugby, gymnastics, or track. If sports isn’t your thing, there is always debate.

I am Cinnamon Tree Apartments manager Connie Meyers. I think the best thing about living at Cinnamon Tree Apartments is the Provo residents who call this place home while they are attending BYU. I couldn’t ask for better neighbors.

Some of our BYU students say the best thing about Cinnamon Tree Apartments is the convenient location. Busy Provo college kids don’t have time to drive across town to get to campus. If they want to take a road trip in Utah, they’ll do it on Christmas vacation or Provo college spring break.

I know that many Cinnamon Tree Apartments college residents appreciate the affordable rates. BYU students are pinching pennies like everyone else in Provo college housing.

At Cinnamon Tree Apartments, you get a comfortable BYU approved apartment at a comfortable price.

Cinnamon Tree Apartments is more than just a bed (to sleep in when you are not snoozing in the Lee library) and microwave (to heat up ramen noodles). We also offer BYU single student housing and easy access to Burger King, Pizza Factory, and canyon hiking.

Do you need BYU approved housing for next term? Call us at 801-373-8023 to check availability. There were several student apartments ready to rent when this article was published, but they fill up quickly in the weeks prior to the first day of classes.

Cinnamon Tree Apartments is a stone’s throw from campus at 1285 North Freedom blvd in Provo. You can see photos or take a virtual tour at http://www.cinnamontreeapts.com/. Thanks for visiting the Cinnamon Tree Apartments blog.

Hello! Welcome to the Cinnamon Tree Apartments BYU student housing blog.

Did you know that BYU not only has students from all 50 states, but that 6% are international students?1 New students who may not be familiar with the Provo, Utah climate need to know that there are four distinct seasons here and they should pack accordingly.

Autumn is beautiful in Provo as temperatures ease to a comfortable level and the leaves change, giving the surrounding mountains their spectacular fall colors. Winters are snowy and cold, and you’ll find the thermometer dropping below freezing, so sweaters and coats are a necessity (and don’t forget to experience the ‘Greatest Snow on Earth’ during the winter months).

May is the rainiest month during the Provo Spring, but quickly dries out in June. The majority of Summer days in Provo register over 97 degrees, which makes it a great time for BYU students to explore the nearby canyons with their cooler temps.

The air in Provo is dry, so BYU students coming from humid climates may find that they need to use lotion more frequently. The dry air also cools quickly after sundown, so warm Provo days can turn into chilly nights.

I’m Connie Meyers, and as the manager at Cinnamon Tree Apartments I want all BYU students to enjoy their college experience.

Cinnamon Tree Apartments offers BYU-approved, off-campus housing at an affordable price. We are within walking distance to BYU campus (provided you’re dressed appropriately for the season!) and we have apartments from 2 to 3 bedrooms.

Whether you are a local or international student looking to move to off-campus Provo housing next semester, I hope you will consider Cinnamon Tree Apartments. If you have any questions, call me at 801-373-8023 or visit us on the web at http://www.cinnamontreeapts.com/ where you can take a virtual tour and even complete an online housing application.

We are located at 1285 North Freedom blvd, well within walking distance of the Provo River Parkway. The parkway is a beautiful multi-use, paved trail that winds its way through state and Provo parks, beautiful Utah County residential areas as well as shopping and business districts throughout Provo. The trail runs from Utah Lake State Park all the way up Provo canyon to Bridal Veil Falls, where BYU student walkers and hikers can cool their feet in a pool at the base of the falls.

If you are looking for a Provo area hike that is a little more rustic than the paved Parkway, but still not strenuous, check out the trail to Stewart Falls. The path begins at BYU’s Aspen Grove Camp and winds through beautiful Utah aspens, oak brush, ferns, as well as Wasatch mountain meadows that are dotted with colorful wildflowers part of the year.

BYU hikers who want a steeper hike can try the switchback trail up to “The Y”. The trailhead can be found at the end of Terrace Drive, just east of Kiwanis Park and near the north east end of BYU campus. The view of Provo and Utah Valley that you enjoy from Y Mountain is more than worth the effort of the hike.

Just north of Y Mountain in Provo is Rock Canyon, a destination for BYU student rock climbers and mountain bikers from all over the world. Additionally, it offers a six-mile hiking trail that goes from the trailhead at the end of North Temple Drive to the Rock Canyon Campground on Squaw Peak Road.

My name is Connie Meyers and as the manager here at Cinnamon Tree Apartments, I know how important it is for college students to stay active. So if you are looking for off-campus BYU approved housing next semester, I hope that you will give me a call at 801-373-8023. Along with a great location within walking distance to BYU, and very close to all of the trails and paths mentioned, we offer faboulous amenities like BYU single student housing.

Throughout the year there are countless festivals and celebrations in the Provo area that BYU students living in Cinnamon Tree Apartments apartments can enjoy. These events are a great way to get together with some of your Cinnamon Tree Apartments neighbors and get to know other Provo students living in off-campus BYU housing.

BYU students can celebrate this great country of ours at the Provo Freedom Festival. This is one of America’s premier patriotic celebrations and its roots can be traced back to the 1870s!

The signature event of the Freedom Festival is the Stadium of Fire, which is held in Provo’s own LaVell Edwards Stadium.

If you are not in Provo during the summer, you can still participate in other Freedom Festival events throughout the year such as historical tours, Veterans Day celebrations, contests, and parades. Many of these activities are within walking distance of Cinnamon Tree Apartments Provo student apartments.

The Storytelling Festival is held each year on Labor Day weekend at Mt. Timpanogos Park in Provo Canyon. Great storytellers come from all over the world to recreate the craft of storytelling. From comedy to music, there are performances for every taste and they are always enriching for BYU students.

For adventurous BYU students who want to step out of Provo student life for a while, the Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork offers a variety of cultural activities. From the Festival of Lights in November to Llama Fest in July and yoga classes all year long, the Temple is always welcoming and serves up some of the best vegetarian food available in Utah County.

And don’t forget all the events offered at BYU. Since Cinnamon Tree Apartments apartments are within walking distance of BYU campus, you’ll have no trouble making time for them.

My name is Connie Meyers and as the manager here at Cinnamon Tree Apartments I want all of our residents to enjoy living in our BYU approved off campus housing. We offer quality Provo student housing at affordable prices. Call us today at 801-373-8023 or visit http://www.cinnamontreeapts.com/ to submit an application.
